Hello All:
just a quick note I just became a new member.
A little about me, I served Honorably in the USMC from 1988-1994, I purchased my first bike so I could get off Base and explore California, I'm a North east guy. At the time I wanted something fast because California has lots or mountain riding with very clean roads. I bought a Honda CBR600 and after that over the years I purchased the next 4 generations of the same bike and did quit a bit of track time while stationed in California. I've been on two wheels for the better part of 50 years of my 55 life span on the dirt and road.
This year I decided it's time for comfort for these old joints, I found a great deal in the Syracuse area for a 2008 Low Rider with 14K miles. The Bike is in pristine condition and was owned by an older gentlemen, I've only ridden it 4 short times since spring, I'm not sure how long the bike sat before I purchased it, I'm going to flush the brake fluid and all the oils.
So far the feeling of laying back and just cruising is way more relaxing than bent over with all the weight on my core.
Enough about me, I just wanted to say hello and wish everyone happy times.

Welcome to the HDFORUM, Andy.
I hope you continue to enjoy your ride here to.
Only as a suggestion, by me as a USER, create a signature line similar to my one line on my bike information.
The year, model, and all the letters Harley assigned to the bike. It will appear at the bottom of your post.
Doing this will be helpful if you ask a question. All Harleys aren't the same with many changes and variations over the year.
Of course, you can always add it to any post with a question.
You can also add any other details you choose and a favorite picture to the signature line.
If you like, you can also add a favorite picture for an Avatar you see at the top left of all your post as a postal stamp.
PS….. For sure, thank you for your service. For that badge of honor you see on the Forum’s military User’s, PM one of the Administrators.
