Woods 22XE vs S and S 475 Cams
i know i know - this is like trying to divide the ocean and its a personal belief , i have had the Harley Torque cam 447 in my bike the last 2 years and its been a " you dont know what you dont know " . i have read great reviews on both the woods and the S and S cams , im a bottom end rider and dont rev out really far - i used the HD cam due to warrnty coverage at the time . So last Friday a friend got the S and S in his bike , also a clone of mine 2022 SGS factory head pipe , Fuel Moto tuners, and Reinhart 4.5 slipons ( mine has the FM Torque baffles) i took his for a ride with the S and S cam and wow - i couldnt believe the difference from the HD cam . at end of teh day the S and S and Woods ar eboth great brands . i just like to hear feedback on some cases where people may have had both cams ? im not looking for a debate of why yours is the best set up ever . thanks folks

My opinion is this. You rode essentially the same bike as yours with the upgraded S&S cam and was wowed. Now every bike can be different especially after a tune but you should expect similar results. There are similar and perhaps better cams but now knowing what you know from riding your friends why not go the same route rather than risk disappointment.

Those 2 cams are very different as in where the power is on them. The woods is a low end torque monster where the s&s provides more top end performance. I went somewhere in between with the woods 22xd which still has good mid range torque but also carries power up top. It has the loping idle like the 475 also which sounds really tough.

If you want an S&S 475, I have one that I will part with for $100 shipped. It has been in one bike for a very short time. If you have the same tuner that your buddy is using you can try the same map he is using to see if you like it in your bike. If that pans out then you could have it tuned on a dyno. PM me if you're interested.
