i am just curious what compels these folks to come onto someone's ad and make comments about the asking price, even if it says OBO.

it is my experience that these folks have zero intention of buying anything, so i don't even know why they are looking in the first place.

i dont get happy when someone "interferes with my ad", and i usually get in trouble for what i say next. I am working on this, but its not easy.

Lots of fools on facebook do this, but now i see they do it here too. were the people hall monitors in high school?

Shatting on someone else seems to be a building trend nowadays.
I,m even beginning to see it on Bring a Trailer recently, which is a sight that in my experience, has always had a large group of ‘grown up’s’.

It's probably because 99% of the members are idiots that think they are gods gift to the Harley Davidson motorcycle.

 

Edit, missed a word. If they are complaining about a price while you have OBO ask them how much they have, it will usually embarrass them enough to shut up.

 

It's every section on this forum, not just the classifieds. Seems that everyone feels their opinion matters. People will ask very specific questions, even highlight the responses/recommendations they don't want and didn't ask for, yet sure enough the "I have to be heard" group jumps in and craps all over the thread. Or they just derail it with completely off topic yammering to hear themselves talk...

 

Agreed. Can’t see reason why he commented on your Springer price. None his business what your asking price is unless he intends to purchase.

 

You're dealing with the public so you have to expect idiots and morons to chime in.

 

Just ignore them.

 

Don't do it here but I will stick my nose in an ad on facebook when it gets out there a bit like the clowns slinging all the tag words, all caps and it's priced more than a new part or I catch the obvious hustler trying to run a game.
