Default Trying Cicada Audio equipment

Well. Thanks to @cshocker for the feedback/advice on equipment.

I ended-up swapping my Rockford Fosgate Amp & Focal Audio Speakers for gear from Cicada Audio.
opted for the FLX700.4 Amp, CXX57.2 (bags) & CXX65.2 (lowers).

Cut & wrapped a new mounting board for the saddlebag - and also upgrade the last bit of power wire feeding the Amp to 4AWG.

I’ve got a bit more fine tuning to do, but I’m pleased for now.

That is a dam good combo of equipment. Those CXX are a fine sounding speaker and that amp will put them close to their wheelhouse.

Be careful with that amp as it is under rated and will do more than advertised power.

I like your power/ground quick disconnect.

Thanks. I used to have the smaller, 50Amp, Anderson connector. Decided to 'go big' and upgrade it to 4-gauge.

I kinda dig it.

Probably should have opted for 6x9 (using adapted plates) in the bags.

I may transfer these 5x7's to my ultra Classic and grab the bigger speakers for this bike.

Where do you store stuff when going on a trip? Heck, I usually have my bags filled and a sissy bar bag.

This is not a bike that I'd take on a trip...

I have an Ultra Classic for rides with Wifey, or for longer journeys.

Since that is a pre-Rushmore bike you could get Hogtunes 6x9 lids and paint them to match. I ran them on my 2010 Ultra Classic and loved them. The speakers didn't hang down as low as they would with an adapter.

I wish they made good lids for the Rushmore bags but every set of premade lids I have seen for the newer bags look like they just bolted an adapter on and the speakers are down in the bottom of the bags.
