Red face Rebuild 07 EGC with 125000 miles

Started pulling down my 07 FTHTC with 125000 miles on it.. For the last 45000 miles it has been a 107, 10.5 cr, W777, ported heads, 1.9 in, 1.61 ex, older HPI 55 throttlebody, Tmax, DnD FC. Motor was running fine. It just stated making a horrible noise, so I shut it down and towed it home.. The plugs look good. Some fuzz on the primary and motor plugs. No chunks in the oil. Oil has about 4000 miles on it. The primary and cam chest look good so far. Still has the original tensioner. Push rods did not come loose (Smith). Turn the motor over by hand, gets a weird crunching sound that comes and goes. Tried to video and it quit.. The outer cam chain tensioner is Zippers and has about 80000 miles on it.. Looks to be in fine shape..

You might not have noticed, but it's not supposed to look like that ...

FWIW, the Zippers chain tensioners look good and they probably have close to 80000 on them..
