Default Pro-Action Video Uploaded Today - Check it Out

Hey guys, DJ loaded a new video today on YouTube comparing Pro-Action shock build quality to two other popular brands.

I received this notification from YouTube and checked it out. Nothing new for me as I have ran Pro-Action on four bikes now and tried Legends for a short time.

Pro-Action is a small company in the good old USA quietly building some of the best suspension money can buy. They are not marketing people with big marketing budgets like one of these brands and we all know who pays for that, the consumer. They put the money in the product and sell direct to the public instead of having a third party distribution firm getting a piece of the action at your expense as well.

You may not know the racing history of these guys. George ran two major racing teams for top motorcycle manufacturers in Europe and enjoyed a nice relationship with Ohlins.

He knew when he got into the suspension business some 40 years ago now that the only brand he needed to compete with was Ohlins. I have a pair of Ohlins also and in my opinion Pro-Action hit the mark,. Important to me is being made in the USA and first class customer service.

I shot George a text when I saw DJ's video. I thought it was well done and much needed. They have not put much up on the sight lately. But they are selling the heck out of suspension just through word of mouth from satisfied customers and with recent partners like Ric Rak.

He let me know they are currently in Florida doing testing on something new they are very excited about. He shared some details but told me if I spill the beans he'll reposess my shocks, and kick me in the nuts.
I would hate to lose my shocks!

Stay tuned for updates.

You guys know I am a huge PA fan of the brand, product and the people. I love these guys.

That said the HD stock suspension is so bad that the first brand a rider buys usually impresses them so much they are sold and swear by them. I get that but from experience I can tell you there is a difference.

Competition is great. It helps keep everyone on their toes and forces advancements and we all win.

Please check put their video. I have a link below. Subscribe and give them a like. Hopefully they will start producing more soon.

Good to see a new video. I've had Pro Actions for about 7 years now, I had them first on my Electra Glide I took across country and moved them to my new street glide this year. I love them and wouldn't hesitate to buy another set. I've had other shocks on other bikes (Legend's and Ohlund's) and they're great but what sets Pro Action apart, in my opinion, is everytime I've written an e mail or called with a question they've answered. One time they followed up a couple of days later to make sure I got my issue handled.

They definitely have a great product with a small town business focused on customer service model. Like I said, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another set.

Oh, and as a side note, I also put their fork kit on my Electra Glide and in the wifes Softail, that kit is amazing and quite a value. So if you have a front end that's diving on you when you hit the brakes take a look at the Pro Action fork kit. Really good stuff.

Ive talked to these guys several times and after i get the goldwing back together theyre doing the forks on the harley. They were definately at the upper end of my short list when i did the rear on the hd, but i went ohlins for a couple reasons. If they made a monotube they would have gotten my business. I really like their fork kit for the money and im close enough to them that if theirs an issue it wont be hard to get it straightened out, their shop is just over an hour ride.

No question the fork kit is awesome. They did a lot of R&D on it and the lastest edition is amazing.

I run it on both of my bikes. It holds the front up, little to no dive, yet eats up those bumps we fine in the middle of our roadways around here.

My wife used to ask why I am in the middle running over them and she has learned I like experiencing how well the bike rolls over them and smooth them to almost nothing.

When we purchased our first set of PA shocks back in 2016, George took us in a test ride. He was actually testing their first version at that time. We were slow to get on the bandwagon, but glad we did.

You will like them.

i even tried getting them to do some work on the forks in the wing since theyre showas too but unfortunately it was out of their wheel house. Theres definately something to be said for local support. For as much of a difference as minimal mods made to the front of the wing im really looking forward to getting the front of the hd set up for me. One great thing about hd, the options are nearly limitless. The wing has 2 names in the game and only one does a new rear shock. Its a penske racing shock so its no slouch, but its the only aftermarket shock available and its a mother to change.
As an aside, for all the guys screaming about wanting a monoshock in the hds, my wing has a monoshock. The susoension is still undersprung for what it is and still needs upgraded. The monoshock on that bike is buried so far in the bike its ridiculous. The hd took an hour to change the rear susoension, im on day 5 for the wing.

The GW's are well engineered machines, but like the BMW K1600's they are very complex.

What year is your wing?

07. Its the older generation but its basically a plus sized sporty bike. Aluminum frame, monoshock, single side swing arm, engine as a stressed member. Its a well made machine but im to the point where i hate working on it, its exponentially more of a pain to do anything on it exept change the oil and rear tire. At least the filter can be pulled without needing any special consideration. Oh, and i can bleed the abs at home, but theres a sequence and twice as many bleed points as an hd

Good videos when he gets done comparing the legend and DK shocks
Ask him to compare Ohlins, Rwd, and fox.
