Who would you choose?
Since my dad is still with us I would choose my paternal grandfather. He passed one month after my 18th b-day and we had been separated by 1500 miles during his final six years so I never had the opportunity to have an adult conversation with him. He worked in Harley-Davidson's Milwaukee Juneau Ave factory for over 41 years with more than 30 of those years in the experimental department. My avatar image is a photo of him taken in 1934 after he had won the Milwaukee Motorcycle Club's Badger Derby.

Either of my grandfathers. Both passed when I was very young and I have no recollection of them, but I would love to get to know them.

Paternal grandfather. He died when I was ten. Deep in the IRA, but ended up living in England under an alias and raised a family there during WWII. He had two grandsons that were born in England and, therefore, English citizens. I could claim Irish citizenship because my father was Irish. We were very close, but I didn't learn anything about his past until I was in HS and my mother spilled the beans when I found out some info accidentally and quizzed her.
