I have a garage full of stuff I want to get rid of. Among them, are some seats I've tried for my '22 RG.
I'm in NJ, and my zip code is 07666. Buyer pays shipping. I use PayPal. Payment would be "friend", and buyer pays shipping. I don't know the weights of the seats, but with packaging, I'd guess 30+ lbs.
Mustang Supertour Deluxe with matching backrest - $400
I bought this seat used without the backrest and ordered one from Mustang with the longest stem they had. The backrest is in the lowest position in the photos below. This worked really well for touring as I could center the backrest higher up my back. I loved the flat seating area. It allows for easy body shifting when riding. Very wide and thickly padded for the both the rider and passenger. It sits the rider 1.75" back from stock. When I called Mustang and asked, stock from which specific model, they couldn't say, but thought it would be something like an Ultra. I think this is correct. I think this also makes it about 1" further back from a 2022 RG/RGS (SG/SGS) seat. It also raises the rider at least 1" over a stock RG 107 seat. It's a smidge taller than an HD Ultra seat. My wife was on this seat a couple of times and she loved the legroom but found, since the pilot position is 2" rearward, it took away some of her seating area. Terrific seat for touring.
This seat was bought used. Was a relatively cheap experiment to see if I'd like it. It wasn't bad, and I liked it more than I thought I would. I do like the shaping of the lumbar. The wife was on this seat for a few rides and found it comfortable. Seating position sits a touch lower and forward than an Ultra Seat. Seating position isn't that far off from an Ultra Seat. Gave a very commanding riding position. Ultimately, I found the riding position a bit tight.
A quick note on the Sundowner. The link used to reference the seat is wrong. The part number of the seat being sold is 24688. It is the Low version of the seat. Just looked at HD's site, and I don't think they offer this seat any more.
