Default Seeking purchasing advice.

Greetings,
Sorry if this is a tired topic, but I am new to the Forum and looking for advice. Been a rider for a while but just getting back into the saddle after a 13 year hiatus. Used to own a 2005 FXDWG and a 1998 FXDL before that. I am picking up a new to me Wide Glide in the near future., choosing between a few different years and configurations. I actually have two questions.
What are your feelings about buying a 42K+ mile 2011 from a HD dealer vs a lower mileage one from a general used bike dealer?
On that note: Do any Florida (or otherwise) members have experience dealing with either Ride Pro or Lucky U cycles? They both have overwhelmingly positive reviews, but for one of them the negatives reviews are all running along the same theme or poor after sale accountability, and some warn that the company sells used bikes that are rejected by factory dealers. I know not to take all Google Reviews at face value necessarily, and I know that there are inherent risks with purchasing any used vehicle "As Is", but dealer reputation and integrity go along way to boosting confidence in the sale. I do know that neither company performs a mechanical inspection on their bikes. They do a visual (standard pre-ride) inspection and then just it for a few mile test ride (not sure how many miles). My heart is set on another Wide Glide, but each dealer is far enough away from me to make it difficult to just pop in to check each bike out. Sorry for the long post. Thanks for the advice.

I also live in Florida and have never heard of those companies. I wouldn't turn away a 48k mile bike that was well maintained depending upon the year

If you have a independent have both bikes checked out if possible, normally the HD dealer would have more to lose on a bad deal.
42k on a well maintained bike is nothing I would be concerned about.

Unfortunately, both bikes are 3 hours from my house (in different directions),I do not know any indies in those areas and I cannot take them too far for a PPI.

One is in Wildwood the other in Brooksville. Aside from a couple of private sellers on Cycle Trader or a couple from the late 90s that I am not interested in, those are the only guys with Wide Glides in inventory.

Post the link on the one from the dealer.. Hard to give any info on something we can't see..
As for the dealer bike I would think that for them to sell a 15 year old bike that it's in pretty good condition.. AND most likely they did all the service on it as well. Ask if they have a Service report on the bike and go from there..
Keep in mind they were only 15k new...

Personally I would not worry about 48k on a well maintained bike. I do think you might get the better deal with the private sale. You can usually negotiate on the price since a private seller doesnt have to turn a profit on the bike.
