Default Cyco pads noisy??

I did the cam chain tensioners last fall and finally got a longer ride in today. I'm concerned that there is more noise from the cam box and wondering if Cyco pads are noisier than OEM ?
Not sure what is causing the extra noise there so looking for advice.

I installed the Cyco Twin Cam Chain Tensioner Shoes, and did not notice any unusual noises.

Mine run quiet. I actually tried after install, to listen and hear them out of curiosity. Silent.
I suggest you do an investigation if you can actually hear the pads or other hardware in the cam area.

Did you align the oil pump properly when reassembled? Retaining bolts on the pinion and or cam gears tight? Was the cam drive chain flipped over from the previous direction of travel? Highly doubtful the pad composition would make any noticeable noise.

That is a good point. Did you use the tapered alignment pins for the pump install?

My plan is to open up the cam box and see if there is anything going on there. Hopefully not!

Tapered alignment pins are used for Evo and Shovelhead oil pumps.

The TC and M8 oil pumps are aligned by rotating the pump while tightening the 4 mount bolts.
