24V is there a trick to remove the stock rear brake pedal? The front peg blocks me from rotating it out past the Clevis. I enjoy all of your guys posts and mods

Loosen the master cylinder and then you can move it enough to get the pin ot. Then you should be able to rotate the brake arm to get it out.

I had to order new brackets between the frame and the boards, a new brake arm and pedal, the boards, and the nuts/bolts that mount them to the brackets. Everything else works with the stock parts. The kickstand is a bastard to get to when it is up, but not terrible to get with your foot to put it back up when it is down. The exhaust is also very close to the board so I will have to watch my boot and pant leg on that side.

Yes, I know it is going to scrape more in corners, but I have a ShotgunShock, so I will just air it up in the mountains.

The boards feel a lot more comfortable sitting on the bike. I have not had a chance to ride it yet, but I will soon.

Hi @24v ,
Nice setup you got there. I'm not sure if you ever mentioned it, but which rear brake lever do you have? It looks like the H-D Edge Cut Billet Rear Brake Lever, but I can't seem to find one for the Fat Boy or any other 07-17 Softail. I think it would go nice with my mirror stems.
Seems like H-D only offer 3 rear brake levers in this style now:
Part Number: 41600079
Fits '14-later Touring and Trike models.
Part Number: 41600217
Fits '18-later FL Softail models equipped with Footboards.
Part Number: 41600220
Fits '18-later Softail® models equipped with forward controls (except FXBR and FXBRS). Also fits ’18-later FXBB, FXBBS and FXLR models and '20-later FXLRS and FXST models equipped with Standard Forward Control Kits P/N 50700060 or 50700061.

Thanks,
Ty

The kickstand you need is:

AN-11-021
Arlen Ness 1in Lowered Kickstand - Harley Davidson Softail Models ('07-newer)

Hi @xlr8it ,
Nice setup you have there.
I tried looking up AN-11-021 Arlen Ness 1in Lowered Kickstand - Harley Davidson Softail Models ('07-newer)
But it doesn't seem that Arlen Ness offers it anymore.

They only offer 3 jiffies now:07-UP FLT TOURING MODELS: 11-022
  • 07-up FLHT/FLHR/FLHX/FLTRX/FLTRU
  • 8.5" Length Kickstand (1" shorter than factory kickstand)
00-06 SOFTAIL® MODELS: 11-016
  • 00-06 FXST/FLST
  • 10" Length Kickstand (1" shorter than factory kickstand)
99-17 DYNA® MODELS: 11-023
  • 99-17 FXD
  • 10" Length Kickstand (1" shorter than factory kickstand)
Every site I go to that has the 11-021 listed, shows it out of stock. Any recommendations? Would an original Fat Boy or any other 07-17 Softail jiffy stand work or or would they be too long?

Doesn't look like this one will work.
The H-D Ergo Jiffy Stand
Part Number: 50000091
Fits '07-'17 Softail® models (except FXSB, FXSBSE, and FXSE). Stock on '15-'17 FLS, FLSS, FLSTFB, FLSTFBS, FLSTN and FLSTNSE models. Does not fit models equipped with Defiance footboards, Burst footboards, or Rider Running Boards P/N 50500158.

Thanks,
Ty
