Cut the V&H pipes

Cut the V&H pipes
Well they're done.Wasn't as bad a project as I had anticipated.Took a little extra time to make sure I didn't ruin a set of pipes.Hopefully you all agree that I didn't.Used a chop saw to get some really clean cuts-worked like a champ.Stepped on my dick a couple times in my haste to finish-wrapped the first pipe before putting the tip back on(w/o drilling for the screw),so I tacked the tips on.Then with tips tacked on realized I didn't give a thought to the baffles. So I might have to try out some TTI's or a lollipop mod.My pre video didn't really turn out very good as far as sound, but I can say these are definitely louder.Wrapping around the crossover presented a challenge,as well as not much clearance between the heat shields.Took about 4"off due to limitations from the mount bracket. All in all I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out.Lemmeno what ya think.

Thanks man.I did take a before vid,but it doesn't really give a good impression of the sound. Not real used to the videoing thing.I can take one for after and see if it makes any difference.I'll try to post something up.It is definitely louder.

Not really a pro,but I don't mind chopping stuff up.Technically a "chop saw" is designed for cutting metal.I just used my radial miter saw, with a metal cutting blade on it.Used it for many projects like this and it works just fine.Went real slow to not discolor the chrome.Thanks.

Thanks dude. Not sure I'm sold on the color yet.Its starting to change a little, the more I ride it,so we'll see.Eventually gonna PC the lower covers to match the cases,so I might paint 'em black if it looks better.
