Default My simple foot guard with pics -'05 Deuce

A couple weeks ago I brought home my first Harley, a 2005 Deuce. I was concerned about the right side passenger peg being so close to the upper exhaust pipe, so I fabricated an aluminum guard to keep the boot from actually coming in contact with the pipe.

A simple piece of aluminum stock twisted to shape with a hole drilled in it. I snagged a scrap of rubber shelf liner from work, cut it to fit, and Superglued it to the metal.

Replaced the peg bolt with one about 1/2 inch longer.

Still allows the peg to fold up when not in use.

Nice fix..that would have saved my wife her "harley scar" on her calf back when she first rode a bike....

Very nice. Now make one for the front if that's an issue.

Nice! But I'd personally call it a muffler guard, unless your passengers regularly ride barefoot or with thongs...

True - I'm not sure what her underwear (or lack there of) has to do with foot comfort, but thanks for the kudos.

I said "thongs", not "a thong".

These are thongs. That's what I always called them growing up. I refuse to use the stupid name people use to refer to them nowadays...
