Default Stage 1 air filter replacement

Hi all, I am a total Harley newb so please forgive me if this is blatently obvious!

I have just bought a 2004 Fatboy EFI which had an S&S stage 1 air filter. I had V&H pipes added and the dealer tuned the EFI/ECM.

My question is because i am not a huge fan of the S&S filter. It looks lost (small)on the bike. I was thinking of replaceing it with either a Screamin' eagle heavy breather or an Arlen ness big sucker.

Would i need another EFI tune?

Cheers

They should flow about the same, I wouldn't think you would need to remap.

Whatever you do...do not get a Harley Screamin' Eagle air filter that has the blue gasket. See my post here: https://www.hdforums.com/m_1593758/tm.htm

I understand that they no longer sell the filter with the blue gasket but you still may run into one.

I used my existing stage I intake setup the dealer installed and replaced the filter with a K&N.

cheers for the info. I had seen the information about the blue sealed SE filters. I will check it out but seeing as its a cone filter i doubt it will have the oil issues, and its easy to inspect

Thanks again
