There's a place nearby called Maker Works. Has a full machine/wood/craft shop. $45 a month and their only requirement is you pay for a class to check you off on any machine you want to use. $15 for the cutter class and 25 for the grinders. Only need to supply my own metal :)

First run of my backrest for the breakout is done! This is just the base bracket. Still want to do some grinding before I powdercoat and throw on a pad. Benefit of this design though: No welding and you can keep it in place with the stock passenger or sundowner pillion.

Rode in with it this morning. The height seems ok but want to experiment with a lower option that comes right off the seat. Will probably recut this weekend. Overall though not too shabby for a first run :D
