There's a place nearby called Maker Works. Has a full machine/wood/craft shop. $45 a month and their only requirement is you pay for a class to check you off on any machine you want to use. $15 for the cutter class and 25 for the grinders. Only need to supply my own metal

First run of my backrest for the breakout is done! This is just the base bracket. Still want to do some grinding before I powdercoat and throw on a pad. Benefit of this design though: No welding and you can keep it in place with the stock passenger or sundowner pillion.
Rode in with it this morning. The height seems ok but want to experiment with a lower option that comes right off the seat. Will probably recut this weekend. Overall though not too shabby for a first run
