Hi Guys Im new to the HD Forum, I was wondering if anyone else has a solution to my problem, My Girl has a 2011 Fatboy Lo, the left turn switch broke, well Harley in there infinite wisdom had decided for this year that they would include the trip switch along with the horn, problem is if the switch breaks you have to replace all switches and the signal light, That's right the signal light itself is hard wired to the switch and Harley would like $360 CAD for this. I'm new to this forum but not new to bikes, and I know a couple people are just going to say to just by the other switches and hard wire the light, well I cant as then there will be no trip button and momma wont be happy, I at the moment think it would be better and cheaper to buy after market controls and replace this **** poor design but she likes the stock look, Anyone have any Ideas it sure would help

 

Why not cut the wire to the light, replace the switch(es) and splice the new switches and light wiring together?

 

The problem is that they don't just sell the switches, it comes all together, and if i use other switches(the ones on every other Harley) there is no trip switch on the horn button
