The Deluxe is MOST definitely NOT a girls bike! Nor is a man in womens clothes a woman! So if you see a Deluxe that looks like a girls bike then we need to know who "dressed it down" to such a point!

Deluxe is a man's bike but there are those tastless, witless individuals out there who feel they must immasculate people or things to make them feel better about themselves or their childhood traumas. Psychology lesson aside... let me state once and for all.

THE DELUXE IS A MAN'S BIKE! IF IT WERE A MAN IT WOULD BE SEAN CONNERY OR CHARLTON HESTON !! IT ROX !!

Very well said!!!
Teshore's Deluxe is an example of a nice Deluxe. Nothing "girly" about the smokin' ride!

Thats cause I havent seen any like mine. I put apes on mine and a sweet solo seat. It gives you a great feel and stretches you out.

Before I get flamed

I know this thread has been beaten to death. Just want to say that I am a man and ride a deluxe.

However, this deluxe is 100% (in my opinion) a chick's bike.

Just asked my 13 year old daughter who she thought rode that bike!
Without a hesitation she blurted out ELVIS!
She did however think it was a cool looking bike.

The bike does not cater to my tastes.

Sure she found it cool - so would many girls her age. If she thinks its cool, that all that matters really. I have a blue/white deluxe and really don't care what colour anyone paints their theirs - this one included. Boys, its a Harley -cut the owner a little slack.

Thanks! Hehehe, I had to laugh when I got your response. The night I wrote that I couldn't get to sleep so I took two stillnox sleeping tablets and instead of going to bed I logged on here... I must have gone into some kind of semi-conscious trance as I didn't remember writing that. When you replied to it, I thought the bit that I wrote had been written by you and I remember thinking.... "This guy thinks like me... that's an impressive post"... then saw my name at the bottom of it... hehehehehe... classic! Good to know that even when semi-conscious I can write something I am proud of

Regards,

Now that you brought it up , there is a hot blond with a deluxe that rides by my house all the time . One of these days I'm going to chase her down. A Harley salesman told me H-D got tired of pushing entry level sporties on the ladies , so they made them a big twin they could spend 16 grand on.
