When I started looking at Harleys, the Fatboy was the only model I liked and bought one. The Deluxe is a cool bike but to me it looks old school right out of the box. So does a Heritage. I was not going that direction...
Now I am thinking of adding a Road Glide too but I have ridden 600+ miles in a day on the Fatboy many times without a problem, as long as I don't have my LePera seat on it.

Buy the bike you want!

beyond it being the most stable and comfortable bike iv'e ever ridden. i have a 2012 fat boy lo. I don't see many fat boy's on the road, they're not the most common bike. you'll see more of the other models. But when you do see one, everyone turns their head a looks at you. the deluxe says class and elegance, but the fat boy is just an all out cool bike and built for business!!!

Well, the Fatboy sold... An hour after I left the dealership on Saturday someone went in and bought it. I am approved for the Deluxe, but now I've got people saying to wait it out and see if something else pops up. Something with less miles maybe and possibly newer. Idk.. I really like the Deluxe. Ahhhh I hate making decisions lol.

Too bad 'bout the Fatboy. Why not just go get a new one and be done with it? Ya only go round once ya know.

Payment would be too high for me or else I would! My dealer has a sweet 2016 Softail Slim that's brand new but I wouldn't be able to make the payment...

again, why are you relying on the dealership. there are other options. try cycletrader.com
bought my 2012 fat boy lo from a guy on there, it only had 750 miles on it when i bought it just over a year ago. i paid 12,500. you will get a better deal outside the stealership

I wouldn't say I'm relying on the dealership.. I'm just saying they're an option. I can get good financing thru them and the great Harley coverage plan. I didn't find anything on cycletrader.com in my price range or decently close to me. I'm hoping I can go get the 2009 Deluxe I'm looking at but now the seller isn't responding to me. I've just gotta keep looking until I find a good deal and hopefully my Sportster sells in the meantime.

Besides engine size, 6 speed versus 5 speed is a consideration!
