2015 Heritage Classic / Stage 1 Upgrade FP3 setup

I have a 2015 Heritage Classic and the dealer did a Stage 1 upgrade. I am installing an V&H FP3 Fuel Pak. V&H tech says to use the setup program for V&H 3" slip on with standard baffle. Does this sound right to any of you out there? Anyone else installed this on their 2015 Heritage Classic?

sounds like the 3" standard baffle is close to the flow of the stock pipe so that map is the best choice. I have the FP3 on my slim with V&H duals an I'm very happy with the way it runs....I guess I"m saying trust the V&H tech.

That is the Map I used on my 16 Deluxe with V&H 3 inch slash cut slip ons and a K&N air cleaner, It runs great and cooler, I have 6k miles on it, no problems. the FP 3 is really easy to use, you will see. Try downloading the app on your phone and play with the demo mode.

I forgot to mention my 2015 Heritage also has Harley Street Cannons for the exhaust. Will this make a difference?

Street Cannons are Slip ons, I would say that is why V&H recommends that map, it should work just fine.

I think the FP3 map needs to allow for the stage 1 download done by the dealer, as well as mufflers and air cleaner.
Most times a fuel pak is installed without the stage 1 download.
The map for my 08 Heritage changed a bit, when the dealer download was done.
Worth checking before you install.

I have a 2017 Slim with Cobra 3" Slash Cut slip ons, and I use a FP3.

The FP3 can take a little experimentation before you get it right. I used the canned map for generic slip ons, and my bike ran horribly. Loaded the canned map for V&H slash cut slip ons, and it was almost dead on. Had to adjust a little to cut down on decel pop, but other than that, I'm happy with the way my bike is running.

And no, you don't need the Stage 1 download from the dealer first before you use a FP3.

I am not an expert by any means but V and H told me the first program was not super important. You should do an auto tune to get better results After I auto tuned mine I could not be happier.
