I am glad they did that. People like me that like a lot of gum on the road would need to go with a thin belt or back to a chain. This is a good thing.

It's definately wider than my '16 RK and '09 Dyna. I sat on an '18 Fat Boy and it didn't feel wider to me, but that could be because the bike sits about an inch lower.

The primary on the '18 Heritage is noticeably more intrusive than the primary on my '94 FLSTN. Not a deal breaker, but annoying nonetheless.

Nope... Even though the Heritage has the narrow primary, it's still up against my left calf. I'm 5'7" and wear 30" inseam pants. Noticed it both times I sat on one at the dealer (haven't got around to test driving one yet). Last time I went over and sat on a new RK for comparison. No issues with the primary on the RK.

I don't even notice it on my fatboy. I rode in 97 degrees yesterday and it was fine

Haven't noticed the primary rubbing my ankle on my '18 Heritage, I wear a size 10 boot, so maybe that helps with clearance over larger sizes?

30" inseam and I can't sit on it without it brushing my leg.

The one I sat on was in the showroom, so it wasn't hot from running, so that's something I hadn't considered; the heat.

I was mainly talking about how it pushes my ankle out a bit, but yeah, I could see the heat being a problem, also.

My wife sat on one and complained about the primary pushing her leg out. She has a '16 Fat Boy Low right now that fits her short legs well. She did like the new kickstand placement though as she struggles with that on the '16.
