I use the HD one from the dealer. About the same price as any. It says it protects and shines.

I've been using Sheen Genie, they make all kinds of different car & bike detailing products, but their chrome cleaner really works well, it'll even take light blueing off exhaust pipes with a little elbow grease. Once you clean it they have a chrome polish & sealer that goes on. Stuff really works great!

I've been lazy here lately and doing everything on the whole bike with Lucas slick mist. I use two microfiber towels. One I rub it on with one, painted surfaces 1st. Then polish everything with the other microfiber, painted first.

Good old fashion and time proven Turtle Wax Chrome cleaner for the hard clean and Honda Spray as a general detailer and quick wipe down.

What ever you pick, make sure you get a product that both polishes (cleans) and protects afterward.
Some products just polish. While they leave the metal very shiny, it's unprotected. With some you need to do a two-step process, using two products... polish & then seal/protect. FWIW... I use Mothers Chrome Polish... |
