Softail won't start
 

2010 Softail only starts when I spray ether into the air cleaner. Why won't it run with just gasoline?

cause it aint getting any?

What could be causing it to not be getting any gas?

First of all stop spraying ether into your carb to get it to run. Unless you want premature ring and piston wall wear. Use a good carb cleaner which is really an alternative fuel in reality. It won't harm your engine when you use it. Secondly, you need to find out why gas isn't making it to the combustion chamber. Do you have fuel injection? It could be a myriad of things, so start at the fuel tank and go forward from there.

symptom of the infamous fuel line pinhole? remove the fuel cap and listen for fuel spray while the pump is running. you can also remove the dash and fuel pump access for a better look.

If you have fuel injection, should hear the gas line pressurize when you turn the key. All 07 electro glides wereEFI (Looking at your bike pic). If you have a fuel pump problem, start there. I assume you have battery power and your starter is firing up.
