Check Engine Light '07 Softail w/ Vance&Hines
Hi folks,
I have a '07 Softail and just put a Big Radius Vance & Hines exhaust. Now, the EFI check engine light in the panel remains ON after start because I have tounplug the speed sensor that was connected to a damper at the stock exhaust.
So, is there any way to bypass this check an turn the check light OFF, because I´ll not be able to install this damper on the V&H exhaust.
Best Regards to everybody.

What type of fuel management system did you put on your bike? I just installed a Thundermax w/AutoTune the end of last week. I rode to Myrtle Beach for the Fall Rally, and my Check Engine light came on twice. I took it by the dealer and they checked the codes and said it was just a communication failure and there was nothing wrong. But if I didn't erase the code out of the ECM, the light would come on and go off until the code was deleted. I noticed that the only times it came on was after being in stop in go traffic. I'm thinkin' the heat had something to do with it. It hasn't come on since. After typing all this, I realized that I probably didn't help you out in any way unless your bike is doing the same thing. Hopefully someone else can help you out better. I'm sure there's plenty of people on here who've put V&H pipes on their '07s.

Hi Live2Ride, there´s no fuel management, just a vance & hines exhaust. The light comes on because I had to remove the speed sensor, located at the stock exhaust. Now the connector is empty, that´s why the light turns on. I need a "terminator" or a way to reprogram the ECM to disable this alarm. But anyway, tks a lot.
