This reminds me of some of my own decisions...anyway, as mentioned above, black out the bars and rear struts (will give good balance), leave controls and cables chrome. Black out the spoke wheels (spokes and rims) leave hubs and spoke nipples chrome.

Black out the bars, Struts,and leave the rest chrome

IF you go black on the bars go to fat bars. Also, Flip the mirrors under.

Funny I just got my bars and chrome fork tins and ready to pull front end apart. Planning to get bars and lowers only black powder coated. Leaving the tins and headight chrome. Think I like the contrast that would give me on my vivid black fatboy. I think in your case I would go black with the bars too.
Hoping "j" will post some pics when done with his mods....would help make up my mind
I'm in no real rush weather sux.

If you black out the bars then YOU GOTTA do the struts!!
But in the same breath, it looks great the way it is, then you could but that cash

PC the bars and keep the chrome controls look on ebay for some take off Night Train strut covers

Black the bars, dash, struts, and headlight bucket and get a visor trim rings and leave that chrome.

Hey...not sure if they'll fit, but I have a stock set of black fender struts for sale.

Definitely PC the bars.
