Fender strut on my 04 Fatboy is a t-45. Just bought one today, I'm biddng on a backrest on ebay and wanted to make sure I could get them loose. After doing a search I saw alot of people had problems getting the bolts loose. I bought a 3/8" drive socket with the t-45 torxheadand it did the job. I got all 4 bolts loose just now, they are definately tight.

Yooper Fatboy,

you were right, it seemed only a bit bigger then the t40 but it did the trick. and you were right again, damn they were tight!

Good deal, glad you got them out. Now if I can getthese people to quit running the bid up on my ebay backrest I'll be all set.

I've had some issues with the torx bolts too. I think I have every size torx they make and none of them seem to fit well.
