I had the same dilemma and just took delivery of the Heritage. I haven't experienced the Fatty, but this Heritage is really a comfortable ride.

Am I missing something here? Isn't STC short for FLSTC? If so, they are basically the same bike. The FLSTC just has a few extras. Both ride great.

If your leaning toward the Fatty, I would no overlook the Heritage or Deluxe. They are both in the same fat front tire "class" as the Fatty and might 'fit' you better in the bargin. The Heritage will also get you a set of saddle bags for longer trips from day one.

I love Fatyboy since T2 judgement day.
I hate Fatboy floorboard scraping.
I like Softail harder cornering but I still buy Fatboy just because I love the look and ride.

Thanks for the advice guys, I REALLY love the sleak line of the custom but something keeps drawing me to the fatty. I'm short and stocky so that in itself draws me towards it.

I was thinking about vivid black, lowering it 1" and getting a street slammer bar with the reaper wheels. What do you think?
Can't speak for the Fatty but own on '07 Custom. Citoriplus has it right as far as comfort!&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;That seat is really comfortable, have been on long trip with it (over 3000mi) and can absolutely vouch for the stabiltiy and ride comfort of that skinny front end with spoke wheel. Fatty on the other hand with those solid wheels could be an issue in cross winds and passing 18 wheelers. Any bike can be slammed lower...it's all a function of $$.

Thanks for the info Bikenator! Yeah, I'm not a fan of the solid wheels either. I am not a super experienced rider so that would be something I change right when I purchase. The Custom works great as is!
