Default Help Oil Pouring Out From The Air Cleaner

I have a 91 heritage, I went to start it heard a gurgling and oil started pouring out from the air cleaner. I went to take off the air cleaner cover and I think I broke that too. Please help.

I read that adding too much oil to the engine will cause oil to come from the intake.

Good luck

This was what I was thinking. Did you recently change the oil and added too much?

First, has the bike been sitting for a long time? All Harley's use a dry sump oil system that "keeps" the oil in an external tank. But over time, in some cases when the check valve is stuck or worn, it can "leak" down into the crank case in as little time as overnight.
If it has too much oil in the crank case, starting the engine can make it blow out through the breather tubes in the filter assembly, and it will continue to until the excess is scavenged out by the pump.
Not sure what you did with or too the filter cover. But the stock round cover is normally held on with one screw in the center. If its been replaced with an aftermarket assembly like an S&S, they use three screws.
I believe that the EVO motor on your bike the filter under the cover is held on with three screws.

Thank you guys for your advice. I think somebody may have done something to the stock cover because it didn't want to come off and now doesn't want to go on. I will probably go with aftermarket. What do you suggest?
