I did risers for like 70 bux. Fixed me right

I loved my mini apes, but they didn't love me and my right arm and hand would hurt after a few miles so I got a set of HD's Bombay bars (PN=55835-05A, it might be 05B now). They are much lower and come back slightly farther. Bonus is it has an integrated tach housing, so I got a tach up where I can see it without having to take my eyes off the road like you do for a speedo/tach combo. If there is a down side to them its that they are NOT cheap. But you do get all the parts to mount a tach (just no tach or wires) so they will save you a bit of trouble in that you won;t have to bother trying to figure out which parts will fit then pay for them separately.
Here's a kind of before and after for comparison. Brand new, the day I got it home. http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_3089.jpg After installing the bars, and several other winters mods. And yes I know I forgot to take off the frame protectors for the pics, no I didn't ride it that way, well not more than once anyway. http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_4326.jpg What they and the tach look like from behind. http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_4364.jpg And the side. http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_4361.jpg The only real reason the tool bag is on the top like it is is because that's where I keep my E-ZPass for toll roads. It works fine up there but didn't always work properly when I had it below the headlight. Now that its been there a while I have gotten used to it and actually like it. |
