What is the reach like compared to the mini apes compared to the street slammers?..they look great
Hard to explain! ..you feel more like you are sitting "on the bike" rather than in it ! the bars are designed so you do not have to lean forward like straight bars..i love em.
Bit of advise if you do invest in these bars and you can afford it go with the chrome braided cables , have them internally wired (as i have) and if you can really afford it put on Chrome switch-gear (if you like chrome)
Are those HD bars Hogdiver. I can't faind any that hav the bend on the ends like yours. If they are do you have a part#. Also ever seen or tried a pair of the HD swingback bars they appear to be a little lower then the ape's with the same reach to the bars.
Its all about comfort. I put minis on my nighttrain to replace the drag bars on it. Personally I don't like having to lean forward and find I can relax more with the bars back abit, plus the steering is more relaxed that way. Seems with the short bars any little twitch causes the front end to turn, maybe because your arms are stretched out to reach the grips. Maybe this is why I do not like crotch rockets, I 'd rather lean back to ride rather than lay forward.
I used drag bars from www.cyclesupplywv.com Same as streetslammers but alot less money. The website isn't that great but the catalog has everything in it.
