Default Will new exhaust pipes need tuning?

I have an 08 Fattie and I'm looking at the D&D Fat Cat 2in1 system. Will I need to re-map the computer with just pipes, or with pipes and air intake change? If anyone has these pipes on theirs, I'd like to hear what you think about them, and where to get 'em cheap online, if possible. Thanks.

if you are only changing the exhaust then you don't need to re-map the computer, only when you change the air intake.

I just got my Fat Cat, with quiet baffle, from Eastern Performance. They had the lowest price, I could find. They were delivered 4 days after I ordered them with free shipping.

Thanks. I emailed D&D, and they said I would need a tuner with their 2in1 pipes. I don't know if they're pulling my chain. I've seen the V&H 2in1 Big radius@ Easternperformance (thanks tmitchell!) for about $135 cheaper than the D&D's. My next question is: has anyone ever heard or seen the difference between the 2? and what are your opinions on them? I like both, but I think the D&D's look just a tad meaner, but that $135 could go somewhere else on the bike to make up for that!! It looks like the D&D's sit lower to the ground. Any scraping issues? Any help is appreciated, just trying not to regret what pipes I put on it.

Yes you will need some sort of fuel management system installed on your bike with full exhaust system.

The newer motors run HOT. You may or may not depending on whom you talk to or read. All I know is that if you do and don't -- you can toast the engine. I would get something and use the excuse that I also want to run the engine a little cooler. If you decide not to, I would learn how to read the plugs and check them every few miles until was sure they were reflecting a properly tuned system.

That's what I heard (that they run hot, or lean). I would hate to burn up the motor and have HD tell me it's not under warranty. Thanks.
