in my opinion, H-D is obviously not going to remedy this fork situation to our satisfaction, I don't care how may complaints are filed. But if I'm wrong I will be first in line at my dealer to get it right.

i think once some one gets a lawyer there will be class action. The other issue is we suffered less than normal resell value because of this error and that is something lawyers would love to sue over, Not the unproven safety issue.

Well after rattling a few cages no one seems to want to address this issue. Its not the fault of my bike, other HD motorcycles, or even the dealers.

This issue is a core issue that someone at Milwaukee decided it was worth it had greater benefit than detriment to engineer this bike in such a manner and release it.

As much as I love the color of my bike (Olive Pearl) and the few numbers of Fatboys produced with this color its going to be real hard to let her go, but I honestly will not be happy riding it, nor feel 100% solid on it.

Most especially since I know that it was FIXED for the 2008-2009 model years.

Considering I got my Fatty and Sporty within the first month of me riding PERIOD, Id definitely say I was in Honeymoon fever. Part of this issue is my fault for not separating the passion from the purchase.

But make no mistake about it, Harley, for as long as they have been building bikes, should have had the sense to only release the bike when they had a PROPER resolution of the issue that caused them to add friggen camber to the front axle.

I have a 2008 Fatboy and when I look down at the handlebars they're not straight across. One riser sits lower then the other. This makes the handlebars uneven and I found myself leaning to one side when stopping. Is this the same problem you have or am I unique?

Ebeattie, you are right. That is Not normal wear and tear. those bastards should fix it till it's right. your wear and tear should be the same as my 08 fatboy's wear & tear, which it's not.

Have the dealer check the bushings. I had the same problem, took it in and they did a little push and pull and got it right. Apparently HD bushings are bushleig

That is not the same issue as the discusion. The handlebars issue is common on all the bikes with rubber bushing in the risers. I give my bar a good slap to one side and it is correct for a while

WILL THIS THREAD EVER DIE?

Default '07 Fatboy front end

I have a 2007 Fatboy and no one at the dealership wants to talk about the offset issue. Maybe if all 2007 Fatboy owner would do something collectively. Let's see 1,000 owners pay a lawyer $50 each = $50,000 it might get HD's attention. Any lawyers listening?

Ok guys I have an early model 07 (with the offset front end). I have fixed the offset. It is NOT the bearings, or the axel that causes the offset. It is the front wheel and the lower legs. If you measure the offset of the front wheel on an early 07 vs. the offset on an 08 you will see a significant difference! I put an 08 front wheel and 08 lower legs and fixed the problem. I also had uneven tire wear, and since the repair (12000 miles ago) that problem has been resolved.
