My wife's T-Sport was originally geared for 140mph in top gear, at peak rpm! Hardly likely to get anywhere near that. To spice it up we fitted a SE kit replacing the 25T crank sprocket with a 21T, which reduces theoretical top speed to around 118mph. It also has Stage 1 mods.

Like others here, I am not going to be the one to find out, but on my past experience of my earlier Harleys (before I became a wimp!) I would expect around 110-115 from our Dyna. A bike with standard ratios will probably be as fast or faster in fourth (for a five speed).

That sounds good - about right! I reckon a big twin is going to struggle to go much faster, without a serious increase in power over Stage 1.

I definatly didnt buy my 08 super glide to have the fastest bike on the planet. We all no that its not about top speed with the Harleys, The ride, the sound, thats what its all about for me, Having said that. After installing the vance and hines big radius pipes, sick air breather and power commander. I had to see what this baby could do. I had it wide open for about 2 minutes, i touched 116 mph, maybe could have got a little more with more road and time. Also I have to consider Ape hangers and bags adding more wind resistence.

Slow n low is always a safer bet, but knowing where the ceiling is helps if passing in a hairy situation. Good thread.

I have had my 88" up to almost 100. I let out and said to myself, "Thats all I need to see".

My Nightster would easily get over 100, but not much over that

My Xbones seems to have a harder time getting there, I hit 105 one time
