Rear brake lights and turn signals not working
Went for a ride today with a buddy when he pointed out that my rear lights werent working. Got home, checked the bulbs and fuses, which were all fine. I then looked under the back tire at the brake light harness, which was kind of just dangling there. All connections were secure but i believe it must have been missing a piece.
Does the wiring harness have a metal strip of sorts that acts as a conductor? If so, this piece is missing.
Is this my problem or am i way off?

I am not going to say youre wrong, but i really believe that it has to do with that piece that was dangling right above the back tire. I am not sure what it is called but it is where the wiring from the batter plugs into a little box that also has connectors for the turn signals. that piece is just dangling there. it is not secured like it is supposed to.
I am wondering if when it disconnected, it lost a piece that conducts the main power to those connectors. Thats the only thing i can think of.
If anyone has further knowledge of the piece i am talking about, i could sure use some help.
