Greetings,

Humm...Are you sure you didn't end up with the V&H quiet baffles? You can always get a different set of pipes and just sell the ones you've got now.

sure remove your baffles and lose lots of low end power, a way to get some of that back is to purchase tourque cones, if you don't know what that is youhave to take your exhaust off and place them between the head and pipe. or you can take our your baffle and cut it in half, or you first you need to ask yourself what type of baffle do you have the quite or performance, i would try that step first.

Break it in for a bit as they tend to get louder with time. But odds are that if you are not happy with the sound now, you might want louder pipes. You can take the baffles out and run like that if you like.

ride behind it while someone else is on it. the long pipes will sound like the noise behind you while your rididng.
When I follow my sons NT/BSL's they are definitely louder than I would want.

When I was shopping around, I spent time at my local dealer to listen to bikes as they pulled in. Did you actually listen to another bike (like yours) that had the same pipe set up (like yours) before you bought your curent set?

I got the regular kit that they sell on the internet,as far as getting the quiet baffles i have no idea. I like the sound. It has a strong deep sound and as you give it gas it stays strong, not raspy at all. No popping on decel and the bike just feels so much better. But........ My wife wants it louder. she wants it loud like a chopper. we both dont care about performance. i just want the bike to sound good and she wants it loud. If i take the baffles out, is it still going to sound nice and deep like it does now or is the quality gonna start to lessen when its loud like that. thanks
