whining noise in first and third gear?????

whining noise in first and third gear?????
i recently started to notice a whining noise on my 06 softail deluxe..tc88b fuel injected, 5 speed... it only happens in 1st gear and 3rd gear and the more throttle the louder it gets....2nd,4th,5th and neutral are all quiet as a church mouse.. anyone have any idea what this little situation might be??? im hoping something stupid, but bracing for the worst...any info would be greatly appreciated....feel free to email me at chicagoplumber3@aol.com

Hmmm... The new 09's I demoed the other were noisy and whiny compared to my 05...
But in 06' you dont have the whiney tranny. That didnt happen til 07'.
Whens the last time you had the tranny oil changed? Redline heavy shock proof is the hot ticket it works well. Tranny failures are very rare on our bikes unless they are modded out making 140HP and getting powershifted all the time down the drag strip...Or Boulevard?

redline shockproof vtwin tranny oil i am assuming...correct?? im pretty sure its coming from the trans cause if it was in the primary it would make the noise even with the clutched pulled in...thats not the case so hopefully i can change out the tranny oil and all will be good....any other input guys??

Ive used HD formual+_ and Now bel-ray 75-140 Hypoid to help the 6 speed, 5th gear..
Both are good..
Whats the dealer say, I 've been serviced at three of them and they all said different...*SYN3/Formula+/Bel-ray
Really Ur call, do a little research for Yourself. There's a poll in this forum and U can always do a Google search.
redline, mobil, Amsoil gear oils are the top three in the poll.
