Its back!

Feels great. Doesn't look all that different until you sit on it.

He told me that the cover can't be pulled too much by the strap on the inside, so It looks normal, but then when you sit, the cover stretches to fit. Does that sound right?

I'm not so sure. I was thinking the cover would follow the shape of the foam.

I'd be worried about how the cover will hold up if it doesn't follow the contours of the seat. It might 'spring' back now but what happens after you put some miles on it? Will it just hang there like a piece of flabby skin? Just a thought.

Ya me too.

He did say that if it loosens up, he will pull it taught again. There is a strap under the seat for that.

I guess we wait and see.

Regardless, the seat is a ton more comfortable. As soon as the traffic lightens up, Im gonna go try to put 100 or so miles on it.

I was going to say before you responded to Coaster that if this guy does upholstery for a living he probably knows what he's doing.

Sounds like he will stand behind his work so I say RIDE ON!

Long time business.

His father owns it with him, and his grandfather started it. His son is going to start soon.

I don't think they are going anywhere.

Sounds like they'll take care of you if there's a problem. Glad to hear it's comfy. Enjoy the ride!

Isn't not sitting up on the rise of the seat comfy.....
It was the first thing I did after after I got her home
and ready to ride.

Had it all planned:

1. Buy Bike (can't do nothing with out that) -Saturday
2. Get bags/windshield and put them on. - Sunday
3. Take bike in to have seat done - Tuesday
4. Get bike back all comfy - Thursday (had a wierd schedule that week)
5. Put 350 miles on her to see how it all works out - Saturday after purchase

Enjoy your newly fitted seat!

BTW...I have a spot where the leather is still up a bit. Figure it will stick
itself down after some miles.
