You turn the ignition key to accessory, press and hold the "trip" reset button until the odometer reads "color", release the button, and then click the trip button until you find the color of your choice.
No night shots yet. Reading is easy as I have a 2½” tank lift and the speedo/tach sits higher.

Very cool. A while back there were some members who would switch the color of the light bulbs for the stock speedo to change the color. Try doing a search on it. I too want a tach speedo combo but read about a problem with the needles getting stuck in warm weather. Well...I live in SoCal so I am concerned this might happen and I am not into spending $400 on something that is not going to work. I guess I'll look into a mini tach instead. The color does notmatter to me as I rarely ride in the dark, at least at this time of year.
