Default Rear brake

Hi everyone, Im fairly new here and was wondering if anybody knows the torque for the rear brake bolts, it has 2 #40 tork bolts, I put it at 35lbs but not sure. Since I didnt remove any brake lines , do they need to be bleed?

The Softail Manual says 10-14 ft-lbs (p. 2-55). It would be a good investment to buy a manual.
