Cardboard!!!!!!
been using it for years. Easy to cut and shape, and doesn't take up any space in the bag

I've got the Sadllebag Shapers for my Springer bags, and while I still need to trim them up, I'm happy with how they're turning out so far. Great price, too.

I've seen brand new Heritage Softails in dealer showrooms with bags that are beginning to sag. I wonder why Harley doesn't correct the problem.

Ok, I bought the Saddlebag Shapers off ebay Sunday night. The mailed them Monday and I got them today (Thursday). It took longer for me to walk the 1/4 mile down our drive to the mailbox than it took to put them in. (this is actually a lie, I sent my wife to the mailbox). I opened the package, opened the saddlebag, and slipped the insert in. Done. No gluing, I am not sure how that works out but we will see. The plastic is one piece so it is allways going to be under pressure to hold the bag out. My Flsts bags were brand new from HD, so there was no problem with fit. So quick shipping, easy install, so far I am happy with my purchase. I paid $39.95 on ebay $8.00 shipping. Total $47.95.

I bought the Saddlebag Shaper kit including the lid support for $57 in Sept 08. I think they are a great product and have kept the shape well. I did do a little trimming of the lid pieces for a better fit. I may have gone a little overboard by routing out a piece of plywood to allow the chrome studs to be recessed and provide a true flat surface to apply the weights to while gluing. You can see how they look today in the attached photo.
