Question after looking
I have to see if anyone has any ideas about what to do with the frame rail that's exposed now with the tank lift.
Look above at the pic of the tank lift on the bike and you'll see the frame rail exposed with the wiring and that black plastic piece exposed. I have the chrome sleeving for the wiring but does anyone have any ideas for hiding or taking attention away from the rail and plastic piece. Just looking for some ideas from all those minds out there... It's Sunday morning, 1210AM... do you know where your kids are???... spending your money of course... |

I'm keeping the base color of blue cuz the frame is already done. Below is the scheme I'm having painted on the bike. This site shows it in the original gray color but he's going to do it so it's all in blue but looks the same as you see it here with the only exception being that I don't want the tank covered in flames... told him to do about 2/3rd the flames on the tank so the base color is more noticeable.
I told him I don't want the Harley emblem on the rear fender at all... nothing that says Harley will be on this bike except the VIN tag, brake calipers and the end caps for the grips... http://www.kustompaintshop.com/popup.php?id=299 |
Holy sh!t that paint is going to be bad a$$.

Updated pics of progress

My painter, Todd Thompson of TheKustomPaintShop dot com, sent me some updated pics tonight. These are the tins with the base coat and the airbrush done. Don't know how many more layers he's gonna put on before he clears it but it's perfect so far. This paintjob is gonna be 'da $hit'!!!
Only problem now is the oil tank has cracks in the paint that can't be sanded out and they can still be seen with a clear over them. The ribs in the tank make it extra hard. Gotta figure that one out but he'll make it work I'm sure. He's done this good so far! Gonna have to post the pics in a couple of replies cuz no one's told me how to put them in this box here like others do... hint hint!!! |

Speeds,
Thanks for the compliments. Do you have a closeup pic of how much room you have from your tire to your belt with the 250 mounted? I'm wondering how much is there. I got my tires in and I got the exact same set. I get my wheels back from chrome in a couple weeks... Thats some nice paint you got there bud. In fact I got my chrome front axle after seeing yours so thanks again bud Hispeed |
