Default Harley air cleaner trim

Have any of you guys seen this in person:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

If so, what do you think. I like it in the picture, and for $25 (+ $40 for the insert) I don't think its too bad.

For those that run open filters, do you leave your rain socks on all the time for bugs and stuff? How hard is it to clean? How does it hold up if its left on?

Thanks

I run my rain sock all the time with a mesh grill over the top that I fabricated from plaastic rain gutter mesh.

taking the sock on and off proved to be a pain.

I have never run a rain sock on mine. When it get's washed I cover it with a plastic bag. I have ridden in the rain without issue, granted it was a short ride.

I have been running mine like that for three years, no rain sock, no issues. When it rains it gets wet.

I like it thanks for the link. Ill be getting one very soon and doing my AC the way i want to. The only reason i dont have a open filter ( not stirring up **** here) is my bike is my only transportation and if its raining cats and dogs i still have no choice but to ride. Once in a while or a short ride with a open filter in the rain isnt bad but i cant see how a constant down pour on a open filter can be good . Anyhow great link thanks
