Have you done any mods to it? Ya might want to think about doing what they call a stage 1 upgrade, basically new pipes( no cats), high flow air filter and decent tuner. I run a Vance & Hines FP3 tuner which is great for diy guys. Works off your cell phone And the V&H map for my Fatboy Lo with Super Radius pipes was about perfect. Cooled the bike down a lot and really woke it up. But stop and go riding i traffic it's just gonna get hot, especially in warmer weather.

 

Here's mine. Just go her a couple days ago. Had my first ride to work today. Coming from the touring line I'm not used to the wind but it wasn't that bad plus I look way cooler on this bike

 

Finally finished reading this thread from the beginning, all 1304 pages. Lots of good ideas and info. A salute goes out to those that have gone before and are no longer a part of this thread, mostly succumbed to the lure of the SG it seems. An extra special salute to those who are still here in the cool kids club. I feel like I already know some of you; the lo-Jedi Sgt. Jim, the snarky Fatburger, and the reflector cop Misbehaven, and the coming-in-late-but-making-up-for-lost-time Freak Show. I only hope to someday make as many quality contributions as you all have.

The good news is I just ordered the shotgun shock today. The bad news is 4-6 weeks for delivery.

When you installed the integrated taillight and removed the rear blinkers. Did you need to purchase the load equalizer to make the blinker work properly?? I'm looking at doing the integrated taillight and removing my rear blinkers. To setup for hardbags since I will need to change the blinkers to put the bags on.

 

i did not need the load equalizer, only had the fast blink on the instrument panel, (the indicators themselves blinked normally), which I cleared by parking the bike with the hazards on for 5 to 10 minutes. In fact, I one-upped and replaced the front turn signals with a set of Motogadget bar End LED signals and still didn't have any issues.

 

Well, I got back a week ago from my trip. 10 days, over 7,000 kms (about 4,400 miles). Drove every twisty road from Calgary to Jarome, Arizona and back. Still running the stock seat, I found it really cumfy actually. No close calls, no bambi's to ruin this trip. Even found the spot Forrest Gump ended his run and decided to turn around and go home. Wore out a brand new rear tire. Made it home with 2/32 left. It was stinkin hot in Moab, Utah, 117 degrees. My oil temp gauge hit 300 degrees at one point. Bike is up on the jacks and is getting new oil in all three holes, a thorough service from end to end and one hell of a spit polish. I even found out how low the Lo actually is. I ended up grinding a good chunk of the floorboards off. It gave me more of a lean angle. Here is a few pics...

 

That's a good haul Gommee! You're the only one not on a bagger too. Did you guys camp out at night or hotel it?
