originality is one thing but why spend good hard earned bucks on the bones and then short change yourself on the bag? I'M still waiting on a part or two to get my bones back together and because I wanted to do it right I had to wait on cash flow. I think it looks shabby (being polite) but hey its your ride so thats what freedom of expression is all about! Deacon

Props to you for trying something different.
At one point I thought about trying something similar with either ammo cans or some smaller backpacks from WWII that I found at a swap meet. Fortunately I came across some nearly new Crossbones bags on eBay for $350 so that ended that endeavor.
Yours doesn't look too bad. Maybe if it were a bit smaller and maybe black or even brown in color. Otherwise, I think it's cool. I just have to ask though; do you think that with as much as that thing could hold, it might throw you off balance a bit since you only have it on the one side?

Since I still have the stock exhaust on, the bike naturally wants to go right. Damn thing must weigh 40LBS. I haven't fully loaded it down yet. I plan on getting a leathersmith to "reproduce" it a touch smaller, with easier to use straps, and in distressed dark brown. This was kinda a dry run.
