Hey all.

I have an 07 standard ive been working on quite a bit now and im looking at getting the samson upswept fishtails for a bit of that old school look. I barely ever see upswept fishtails on the road around here, which is a plus.

http://www.samsonusa.com/vmchk/S2-912.html these are the ones I have in mind. Is the legend series any different from the signature series? I saw the signature series for much less at motoleather and they seem just about the same to me.

Also, if anyone has them let me know how you like them! I just want to make sure I know what im getting before I dish out 700 bucks

 

thsoe are great pipes and they look fabulous. I can get you a deal on them. I would imagine that the diameter of the pipes is different and the cheaper ones get less flow meaning they will make less power. I can get those in teh link for you for $650 shipped in the ConUS. Call the shop to order.

I am very happy with mine, 13,000 miles and no issues with performance or finish. They are not the best performance pipes on the market but they did increase my HP when I did stage one.

 

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you know if I would have to relocate the turn signals in order to fit these on my fxst? They look like they might get in the way.

I had to remove mine, I went with a brake light with internal signals. If you call them they will know if they fit your bike. They also have them in black and you are right you don't see them often.

 

They look pretty sweet on your bike GymRat. Im surprised you didnt get them in black though. I think they would look a lot better in black or wrapped on your bike.

 

I'm seriously interested in the same pipes. I have an 05' FXST and at one point I read that the turns signals do need to be relocated but I can't seem to find where I read that. I'm going to get them anyway. Winter is here so I have plenty of time to make them work. I think I'll throw 18's on too. My 16's feel really small now.
For those of you who have the pipes, how do they sound unbaffled? Thanks.

 

Unbaffled Samsons sound great. They will be very loud so I hope you like that. I ahve a set of 18" apes here in personal stash (Wild 1's) for $150 if you are interested (chrome brand new), and I ca n get you the Samson's at a great price too!
