Default Heritage saddlebag straps flappin'

Do your saddlebag straps flap in the wind? [:@]
Are there many heritage riders out there who have the same problem?
I can't stand it [:'(]
Has anyone tried using a bit of velcro to tack the strap to the buckle?
Any suggestions for a fix would be great
I know, I know, I could just slow down and the darn things wouldn't slide out of the loop from all the wind.

The velcro solution works well.

Adjust the buckle one notch and it will lenghten the leather strap about an inch................

One of my straps flaps in the wind, the other is fine. Mine is a 99 model with orginal bags so I was thinking about getting a new set. I guess I could try the velcro.

I have added velcro, then more velcro, then I added some more velcro. Mine keeps flappin at speeds above 80mph.

I haven't found the correct combination or lenght to fix the problem so any suggestions would be great

Haven't had the problem yet on my 03 Heritage but I don't see above 80 alot. Anyway just a thought, you could have a leather shop put a chrome or black snap on the leather ring and strap. Wouldn't look bad, cheap investment, and I'm sure it would hold well.

Mine flap only if I ride on both wheels. Most of my riding is done at 90 MPH on the rear tire. If I ever require addressing this problem I'll go nuts. Think I need a Road Glide.

Mine flap as well so i folded the strap back through the buckle. I like the snap Idea. I don't like the folded look that much off the bike. But lookes fine at 70 mph and no flapping. Any better Ideas out there I hope so. Tom

I ususlly do not find this to be a problem,
unless I am doing over 100 MPH.
