Question Need Some Info

I have a '06 Fatboy. I have around 16000 miles on it. I recently noticed that sometimes when I go to stop I hear a "clunk" from the front end. It doesn't happen all the time though. Someone told me that it might be the steering bearing (???) reseating itself. Has anyone experienced this and if you have what did you find was causing it?? Thanks!!

If it sounds like a golfball in the headlight bucket let me know if you fix it, I've been chasing one for a while now.

Sound very much like the front neck bearings are loose. With the engine off (so you can hear) roll the bike forward a couple of feet and grab a handful of front brake. If the neck bearings are loose you will feel a "clunk" and may even hear it. My '07 Custom was loose from the factory. Common problem. Will take the dealer 5 minutes to fix.
Hope this helps!
