Default powder coating 2010 fatboy lo...

Ok... I have been watching everyones fatboy lo being dressed out, and wow... Those bikes look good... So I am dressing mine out, but I dont want to post pics until done, and Im almost there... Well never really done...lol...

Anyway, Im at the powder coat part.. Im going to keep the stock beach bars, and Im goingwith the 4inch riser pullbacks... So Im having those powder coated along with front forks, primary cover and a few others...

My question here is... My bike is the gloss black... What color should I have powder coated? Gloss... Flat... or Saten....? What do you think would look best? Im thinking saten personally, but wanted some advice...?

I need to get a head light ring powder coated as well. My bikes gloss black so I'm going to match it. I just put the Kuryakyn curved layback license plate on last night and it looks great. I think I'm going to keep it in chrome. I'm liking the little bit of chrome. It stands out.

Good idea - I think you need some chrome to contrast the black.

if your bike is gloss i would sugest coating in gloss we try to keep a rule of 3 when we build a bike... 3 colors max that includes shades and textures as well, when you get over that it starts to look a bit hecktic. you have wrinkle on the motor, gloss on the frame and tins, and flat silver /chrome... i would say go gloss

I agree. Gloss will be the right way to powder coat. Stopped by a place last night to see what they'll charge. $25 minumum. That's for 1 headlight trim ring or 3. Guess I need to get some stuff together. But I really just want the headlight trim ring done. I'm liking the Kuryakyn wrap around license plate in chrome.
