Default True Dual Question, Need Helping Finding "The One"

I am searching for the right true dual system for my Deluxe. I am not a fan of the fishtails or the longtails, just not my style here in central Illinois. I do like the Samson true dual system with the rolled edges, but I don't like the fact that the mufflers are 3". I am looking for the pipes to be 2 1/4" from the header to the end of the pipes like the fishtails, just minus the actual fishtails. Does anyone know of a company making these? Does Samson offer them and I'm just somehow missing them on their site?

Nicely done. The full blown Cali ride just doesn't fit my style. Man, after all this snow, I'm ready for spring. I think we ended up with 13" here, although I spent most of the time battling ice. I work for a power company and spent 48 hours Tues-Thursday down in southern Illinois.

Nope, I'm an EE with Ameren. These days I don't have to do the tough physical work. I grew up around it though with a dad that worked as a lineman. I could climb before I could drive & worked as a summer help grunt through college. After battling the ice and cold this past week, it reminded me why I went to college. I still think the ice storm in December 08 was worse, as was the 06 ice storm.

This is what Samson has:

What I want to avoid is the muffler "bulge". I want the headers and muffler to be 2.25" like all the fishtail systems are. I like the length and visual look of the fishtails, just not the actual tips if that makes since.

Mine are all the same size from header back ? Well with the heat shields off anyway .

Those in the link would look great IMO

Or get the longtails and just cut off the tips ... thats a option also

I actually thought about cutting off the fishtails, but I worried about getting them even and also how the cut would look. I will probably end up getting the ones I linked above, but I was hoping I might find something that looked more like drag pipe true duals.

The Vance & Hines Duals are nice they have a very slight bulge .But nothing like those 3 " mufflers. They are straight cut.You can get a nice set of the slash tips for them that look real nice.
