Now, this might be a stupid question, but would you have to touch those up every time you put a wrench to them?
A trick we used to do to protect chrome lug nuts when changing a tire was to put a ziplock bag over the nut and then put the lug wrench on it. Then no metal to metal contact.
Not sure if it would work with saran wrap over a sharp torx bit, but it might.
Just a thought.
Mark, your new sig pic looks beautiful brah! The bikes still nice too!
I have some more painting to do. How did the fender bolts come out after they dried? I have to go pick up the bike in a bit, my new tank came in and I went ahead and had my freshly powdercoated engine covers put on....
Jim, Looks good with all the bolts painted. Why didnt you pull all the bolt and have them powdercoated ? I just had my pully, bolts and the wheel spacers powdered when I put my new wheels on. only cost me $75. Hell I was looking for chrome bolts for the pully.$$$$$ Check out the pic.

I was thinking about that as I was rebuilding my bike.. if you're going for the blacked-out look then those are all a must.. personally on mine i'm leaving them because i love machines, and the aluminum bolts gives it that "I'm a Machine, Use me" look... though I might do the bigass swingarm bolt..because that one just looks nasty.

Well to be honest bro, I dunno haha. Lazy I guess, but painting them cost me $7.99 and about 2hrs labor.
